Former Real Madrid youngster Jose Angel Pozo is set to join Barcelona during the January transfer window, a report from Spanish news outlet Sport claims.
The 21-year-old talent was once considered the hottest prospect in Spanish football but has thus far failed to live up to the hype which got Manchester City take him away from Real Madrid youth setup back in 2007.
The Spaniard spent three years in Manchester before returning home in 2015 when he signed for Almeria and now looks set for another pop at the brightest stage.
La Liga leaders Barcelona are said to be preparing a January move for Jose Angel Pozo who will be shipped to the reserve side for the rest of the campaign.
The plan, however, is to have the versatile forward incorporated into the first team in time for the 2018/19 season with Barcelona believing that Jose Angel Pozo could become a valuable member of Ernesto Valverde’s team in the future.
