The success of the two Manchester clubs has been hugely impressive this season, and City and United currently occupy the top two spots in the Premier League, with Pep Guardiola’s side looking set to claim the title come the end of the season.

The league may not be the only thing that the two clubs are challenging for however, and it seems that Leicester’s Harry Maguire is the subject of their attention, according to the Metro.

Maguire only joined the Foxes at the beginning of this season, but he has already established himself as a top defender as part of a Leicester side that is flying high in this campaign.

The England defender has made 26 appearances this season, playing every minute of Premier League action for Leicester. He has also contributed an impressive two goals and four assists from central defence, making him a top attacking threat.

Manchester City have already spent over £200m on defenders and goalkeepers since Pep Guardiola took over, but the injury concerns of Vincent Kompany and John Stones has left the superstar manager looking for backup options.

United meanwhile have seen Eric Bailly ruled out for the long term with an ankle injury, and Jose Mourinho doesn’t seem to fully trust Chris Smalling or Victor Lindelof.
